Common Plant Diseases, Deficiencies and Infections

Here at Green Envy we are constantly getting asked to diagnose common plant diseases as well as suggest products for solutions. As owner of Green Envy Supply and personal indoor gardening enthusiast I have learned a few things about the problems you’ll encounter throughout the year in your garden. I thought it would be a good idea to address some of those questions here and write a piece on common plant diseases, deficiencies and infections. Indoor gardening is a fantastic alternative for people who don’t have access to a yard in which to garden but still want to add fresh, homegrown, organic produce to their diet. Unfortunately, it’s not as easy as dropping some seeds in a tray and letting them grow. In our Regulating Temperature blog we talk about some of the basic problems you could encounter like temperature and humidity problems but lets just assume you were paying attention in our last class to avoid being redundant. What I want to talk about now is a little more advanced than your regular overheating problem. Here I’m going to address some of the most common plant problems that indoor gardeners experience such as:

Nutrient Deficiencies

Don’t be intimidated by the common plant diseases that we’ve listed above. Indoor gardening is a great way to bring healthy, organic produce into your home, and properly maintaining and monitoring your indoor gardening system can prevent most of these problems. Simply paying attention to your nutrient levels, humidity, temperature, and other basic information is often all that it takes to prevent plant diseases from occurring. That being said over the next few blog posts we will dig a little deeper into what each of these problems is, and how we can prevent them!
